unlocked is a feature length documentary currently in production.
Synopsis: Sentenced to life for crimes committed as teenagers, a group in Missouri’s death row prison teach themselves to code without access to the internet.
i have worked as both an assistant editor and an archive producer on this project. in my role as a premiere assistant editor I set up and managed a remote workflow in premiere productions for two editors working on opposite coasts.
i also synced shoots, ingested dailies, created proxies, and made selects for editors. i created and organized other supplemental materials, like transcripts. i troubleshot issues in premiere and supervised exports.
as an archive producer, i created and maintained an organizational system for assets and researched archival materials to support the production. i also interviewed prison reform advocates in Missouri for additional insight into the system that the documentary subjects have navigated.
